Wedding Day Planning Documents
We have some tools here on our website to help you plan out your wedding day and specifically your photography.
Remember, your wedding day is about you, it should be fun and it should be memorable. Smile, enjoy being the center of attention, and keep a positive attitude, it will shine through in your photos!
Must-Have Photo List
This is an extensive list of possible photos for your wedding day. You can check off the photos that you absolutely must have, and there is a place to begin organizing your group portraits. This list does not limit the number of photos that will be taken during your wedding day, it simply gives us a list of photos that you can’t live without. We have a comprehensive shot list memorized for the purposes of shooting a traditional wedding, and we are skilled in determining moments that you will want to remember forever.
This form is for you to communicate shots that are an absolute must have for you, or to point out deviations from a traditional wedding. We pride ourselves in flexibility for different wedding and culture styles; this would be discussed at your consultation and a modified "must have" list can be made at that time.

Wedding Day Planner
This form is for the photographer to have some specific information about your day, and where to send your photos after your wedding, the form includes venue information, a person to contact on the day of your wedding (if you have a coordinator or event planner), as well as the names of the people in your wedding party so that we can make every attempt to call people by their names.

Wedding Day Schedule Form
This form is so that you can create a schedule for your wedding day. Often times the schedule is very loose, which is fine. Having an itinerary for the day makes the job of the photographer easier as well as helps establish structure. This form can also be given to your other vendors (specifically the DJ) so they can help keep your wedding day and reception moving.

Preparing for Wedding day Photos
Congratulations! Your wedding day is almost here. You are tying up the loose ends and making sure every detail will be perfect. We want to offer a couple of tips to help make your
wedding day photography perfect too.
Make-up Tips
- Wedding makeup should be soft and natural, many brides opt to have a professional do their makeup for their wedding day, but whether you do it yourself or have a professional do it there are some important factors in choosing quality makeup.
- Not all makeup is photogenic. Light and color is captured a little bit differently with a camera verses your eyes. For example, a non-photogenic foundation can make you appear pale to the camera. Checking with a professional at a makeup counter can help you find makeup that will be captured beautifully by the camera and enhance your natural beauty.
- Apply your blush lightly, adding a little bit of color with photo enhancement is far easier than taking it away.
- Apply your eye liner lightly, especially to your lower lashes-smudging can cause a shadow effect that will make you look tired, and your eyes look puffy.
Portrait Tips
- Relax! Often times couples are very stressed on their wedding day. Your wedding day should be fun, it is the result of all of your hard-work and planning, so take some time to enjoy it, your photos will look far better if you are smiling than they will if you are stressed.
- Have a List: decide on the shots you want before your wedding, if you want a shot with you (the newly married couple) with all of your mom’s siblings - that should be on a list so that nothing gets missed. Take a look at our
Must-Have Photo List to give you some ideas.
- Delegate! Have people who know your guests wrangle them for portraits, it will make the time fly, and keep the confusion minimal.
- "Time Out" time is a chance for you, as a newly married couple to go off by yourselves for a little while with the photographer. Take this opportunity to let your love and happiness show for the camera, enjoy a few minutes of "alone" time before you go back to party with family and friends.
- Remember to tell your guests that they will not be able to photograph during the portrait time, this may seem harsh-but in the end, you will have far better portraits when there are not two flashes going off, and the photographer is competing for attention and a place to shoot. Let them know that they will be able to take all the pictures they want at the reception (and ceremony) and also they will be able to easily order photos.
